Terms & FAQs
How much money can I make as an affiliate?
Dusk & Bloom affiliates earn a 10% commission (after discounts) on any sales they refer to our online shop using their affiliate codes or affiliate links.
The more of your friends, or followers, who end up purchasing from Dusk & Bloom, the more money you make!
What do I have to do as an affiliate to earn money?
All we ask is that you share your affiliate code and/or link and mention our brand's name when posting about any of our products that you love.
Keep in mind this often works best if you aren't really trying to "sell" your friends or followers on something. Instead, share what makes the product(s) so amazing / useful / beautiful / worthwhile to you, and your audience is more likely to want the same for themselves!
Here are some fun ways you can share your favorite Dusk & Bloom product(s) with your friends and followers:
- an unboxing video
- styling posts
- a before-and-after transformation
- a how-to/product demo
- a product review
- a gift guide or other themed product curation list
- a product haul of your favorite finds
If you decide to share your link and our products in a Facebook group/page (or anywhere, really), just make sure they allow promotions first. You don't want to come across as spammy or disrespectful.
Approved affiliates who do not show any referrals on their accounts within a year or misuse their codes or links may have their accounts deactivated.
Do affiliates get a discount code?
Yes! All Dusk & Bloom affiliates will receive a 10% coupon code to share with their friends and followers. Affiliates are welcome to use their codes, too!
We'll automatically create one for you if you're approved. However, you're more than welcome to edit and customize your code name through your Affiliate Portal.
Do I need a lot of followers on social media to become an affiliate?
Not at all! Our goal is to reach people who really love our decor, so it's more important that:
- your tastes and values are compatible with our brand (learn more about us on our About page)
- you're part of a community or have followers who like things that are similar to what's in our store
- your followers engage with you on social media or your website/blog by leaving comments, liking and sharing your posts, etc.
If you aren't a part of (or don't have) an online community of like-minded people, then our Affiliate Program may not be a good fit for you. It's important to build a genuine connection with people who are passionate about the same things as you to truly see the benefits of using affiliate links and codes to earn money.
What platform(s) do you use to track affiliate earnings?
We currently use RecomSale, a platform that is small-business friendly. We are also looking into registering with more well-known platforms such as CJ and Rakuten. However, most don't support small business needs.
How long do cookies for affiliate links last?
Cookies for Dusk & Bloom affiliate links last 60 days—so if someone clicks on your link but doesn't make a purchase from our store until 59 days later, you can still earn a commission from it!
What are the payment terms for affiliates?
45 days from our customers' order fulfillment dates. This allows enough time for potential returned items to be processed before affiliates are paid.
Since affiliates don't receive a commission for returned items, we'd rather wait to send affiliates their true earnings instead of deducting funds for returned items from their future commissions.
